Cardiology Camp at Anapandam Colony, a Tribal Area

Cardiology department of Amala Cardiac Centre, conducted a camp at Anapandam Tribal Colony on 26th and 27th September, 2015 in association with "World Heart Day". The camp was guided by Dr. Abdul Khadar, Prof. and Head; Dr. T. G. Jayakumar, Prof.; Dr. Rupesh George, Assoc. Prof.; Dr. Ganga Velayudhan and Dr. Razi Ahamed. The main aim of this camp was to evaluate the risk factors and prevalence of heart diseases among the tribal population. A detailed clinical examination, blood investigations, ECG and Echocardiographic assessment were done. Similar camps would help people living in other remote areas mainly in Tribal Colonies to get better health attention as well as to improve their health status.
